As golf courses go, Atlantic National Golf Club is a relative baby. Then again, with its complete “face lift” in 2011, it’s like it’s the new kid on the block.
Atlantic National was developed in the late 1980’s by famed golf course architect Joe Lee. It was rated by Golf Digest as “One of the top 50 public courses in Florida.”
This public course has been completely renovated. Everything has been changed except the great Joe Lee design. The tees, fairways and rough have been replaced with celebration grass. The greens were reshaped and grassed with tif-eagle, which provides a smooth fast putting surface. The bunkers have also been reshaped and new sand installed.
The clubhouse has been completely remodeled. The golf shop, bar, restaurant, restrooms and banquet facilities have turned out wonderfully. This is the public course you’ll want to play and call your home course.
